Mid Columbia Bus Company, Inc. and its operating subsidiaries including Western States Bus Services, Inc., have been in the pupil transportation business for school districts since 1956, some 50 years of experience. During this entire period of time MIDCO and the Flatt Family have been actively involved in the operation of home-to-school, kindergarten, special needs, pre-school, activity bus, and motor coach transportation for pupil transportation systems. The focus of this company has been, and will remain, operating in rural areas of the Pacific Northwest.

In the State of Oregon

Mid Columbia Bus Company, Inc. (MIDCO) operates home to school, mid-day specials needs, field trip and activity trips for a total of twenty-six (26) School Districts, ESD's and Headstart programs, most of which are primarily located in the State of Oregon.

In the State of Washington

MIDCO / WSBS currently operates school bus systems for Newport and Nine Mile Falls School Districts, both located in Spokane and Pend Oreille Counties of Northeast Washington. In these two systems WSBS operates approximately 45-regular and mid-day routes, including pre-school and kindergarten, special nee, Century 21 programs, and field trips and activity trips.

In the State of Idaho

MIDCO / WSBS currently operates school bus systems for the Twin Falls, Filer, and Buhl, Xavier, Wings School Districts all located in Twin Falls County in Southern Idaho. Filer is located just miles west of Twin Falls and these two districts operate as one combined pupil transportation system. WSBS operates approximately 70-regular route, mid-day and special needs routes and field trips and activity routes in this system.
