At the heart of our organization are our drivers, who play an important role in the lives of the children that they transport. They care for their passengers and it shows each day in the job they do. Above all, our drivers are committed to delivering their students to school safely and on-time.

Knowledge and Experience
Our leadership group has more than 100 years of combined service in the North American student transportation industry. They are knowledgeable, experienced and eager to help you.

Brian Shuldberg, Region Vice President
A hometown Idaho boy, Brian began his career in school bus transportation as a driver with Mayflower Contract Services in 1990. He has held a number of varying roles during his career, which range from dispatcher, manager, district accounting manager, Director of Safety and Region Vice President, for Laidlaw Transit, Durham School Services and Illinois Central School Bus. Most recently Brian has worked in Illinois overseeing operations in the suburbs of Chicago, central Illinois and northwest Indiana. Mr. Shuldberg has been responsible for operations in Colorado, Idaho, Utah, Texas, California, Illinois, Indiana and Oklahoma during his time in school bus transportation.

Melanie Correa, CFO
Melanie graduated from Oregon State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business, and a concentration in Accounting. She began her career in public accounting as a staff accountant and earned her CPA certificate. During her ten years in public accounting, she compiled, reviewed, and audited financial statements. The majority of the audits that she worked on were municipalities and school districts. She also prepared tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations.

Melanie left public accounting to become the Controller at Wildhorse Resort and Casino. Melanie spent five years in the gaming industry and her responsibilities consisted of managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department. She also developed and administered all financial policy, procedures and internal controls and was responsible for coordinating periodic audits and was responsible for the monthly and annual preparation of financial statements.

After five years in the gaming industry, Melanie moved to the transportation industry and came to MIDCO as a Senior Financial Analyst. She worked at MIDCO for 18 months and was responsible for budgeting and analysis. Then she went to Pendleton Grain Growers as their Chief Financial Officer for three years where she was responsible for budgeting, treasury management, internal controls, and reporting to the Board of Directors.

In 2012, Melanie returned to MIDCO as the CFO. Since Melanie’s return, she has been responsible for overseeing the accounting department, preparation of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.

Chuck Moore – Region Vice President of Eastern Oregon/Idaho
Chuck recently made a move from Anchorage, Alaska were he was the Senior Director of Transportation for the Anchorage School District. While in Anchorage, he was responsible for operating 230 school bus routes from multiple locations and safely transporting approximately 20,000 students daily.

Chuck has been helping bus children for more than 25 years. He worked with Durham School Services for many years and held many different positions. His last position was Vice President of Operations in the Western states, so he is very familiar with safety issues, the weather, and the challenges of the bussing industry. Building teams and serving others are where his expertise in student transportation excel.

Once he and his wife, Sherry, find a permanent home in this beautiful area, they hope to do more exploring on “back road” adventures and to fish. They also are looking forward to having more visits by their three daughters (two live in California and one in Arizona) and by friends.

James Stevenson – Regional Director of Operations, Idaho / Eastern Oregon
James began his career with Midco in April 2018, he is new to school bus industry. Prior to the school bus industry, James worked for a national trucking company managing operations in Salt Lake City, UT. James also served as a general manager who oversaw operations at the Salt Lake City Airport. James enjoys the changed from the trucking industry to school bus operations and plans on progressing his career with Midco.

James is originally from Virginia but left home shortly after high school to serve time in the US Army. While serving in the US Army he managed Air, Ground Transportation operations in numerous countries to include Iraq, Africa, Afghanistan, and South Korea. James met his wife Maria, while serving in the Army. James and Maria returned to Maria’s home town of Twin Falls when James left the military. There, James fell in love with the town and the people, which he now calls home. James has two daughters, Sofia and Cecilia.
